  Open Ranch - Shearing Demonstration

It's Fun and it's FREE!

Saturday April 6, 2019 from 10 to 2

We will be shearing alpacas. Come.... hang out, enjoy.  The public is invited to watch

the annual harvest of alpaca fiber.  Fiber artists will spin the fiber into yarn, others will

be weaving and transforming the raw fiber into beautiful end products. Shop the

boutique for fun alpaca products.


California Classic Round Up Alpaca Show


March 29-31, 2019 Merced County Fairgrounds


Come visit us at the show.  This show is put on by the California Alpaca Breeders

Association, Calpaca.  There will be a halter show where the animals are judged 60%

on their fleece and  40% on their confirmation.  There is also a Walking Fleece Show. 

In this portion of the show only the fleece  is judged.  It is anticipated there will be

about 250 alpacas attending the show. Its an excellent opportunity to  see lots of

animals and talk to many farms to learn about alpacas.



Honey Bee Festival

September 2019 (dates not determined yet)

The 36h Annual Palo Cedro Honey Bee Festival, sponsored by the Palo Cedro Community

Park will be held  at Bishop Quinn Community Center, 21893 Old 44 Drive, and Palo Cedro.

The festival hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Sunday.

Two full days of attractions for your enjoyment – “Live Bee Beard” demonstration and other honey bee related activities; special children’s entertainment area; Antique Tractor display and parade; wonderful local entertainment on stage; lots of food booths and vendors and of course our faithful, and new, arts and crafts booths – plus we kick off each morning with a Pancake Breakfast – starting at 8:00am. Along with this we offer lots of opportunities to do your early holiday shopping.


National Alpaca Farm Days

Saturday, September 28, 2019 10 am - 4 pm

Join us for our 8th annual open house on National Alpaca Farm Days.  We are joining alpaca ranchers across the US and Canada opening our ranch so you can meet the alpacas face to face.  Walk through our pastures and experience the gentle nature of our alpacas.

Bring your camera to take pictures with the alpacas. Learn about the alpaca and the life style directly from your local alpaca ranchers. Watch demonstrations of spinning, weaving and other fiber activities.

Start your holiday shopping early in our boutique where you'll find alpaca apparel and products.

Bring your knitting or crocheting and join us for the afternoon.

Come by and shop our booth at Lambtown.  Don't miss our "THIS HOUR ONLY"  specials all weekend long.

Lots of fun Activities and shopping opportunities  Fiber Art Demonstrations, National Spinning Competition, Sheep to Shawl Contest, Wool Show, FineFiber Show, Spinzilla Warm up, Spinning Circle, Fiber Classes, and LOTS of VENDORS.

The Lambtown Festival is held at the Dixon Fairgrounds,655 South 1st St., Dixon . Dixon is 25 miles west of Sacramento and 5 miles west of Davis on I-80; from the San Francisco Bay Area, it's about 5 miles east of Vacaville.

$5.00 for General Admission with Free Admission for Active Military, 4-H and FFA in uniform and kids under 13 years of age.
